Taiwan reported 28 new local cases of COVID-19, three imported cases and four deaths on Sunday.
Of the 31 new local cases announced on Sunday, the totals by city and county are as follows:
New Taipei City: 12
Taipei City: 11
Taoyuan City: 2
Hsinchu County: 1
Changhua County: 1
Taichung City: 1
The addition of four more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 740. The deceased include two men and two women aged from 40-80 years old.
Taiwan’s three imported cases of COVID-19 announced on Sunday include a Taiwanese man returning from Saudi Arabia, a Filipino fisherman coming from the Philippines and a Taiwanese returning from Indonesia.
Of the cases that contracted COVID-19 between May 11 and July 9, 84.4% have recovered.
