People aged 18 or over can register their willingness to be vaccinated. Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) deputy head Chen Tsung-yen made the statement on Tuesday.
Chen said they can start registering immediately. There are two choices for them: Moderna or AstraZeneca.
The government has set up a centralized system for booking COVID-19 vaccination appointments online.
Over 14% of people in Taiwan have received one vaccine shot. But less than 1% have received two shots. The health ministry wants to have at least 25% of Taiwan’s population vaccinated with at least one shot by the end of this month. The vaccination rate among health workers is 89%.
