Taiwan reported just 17 new local cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, a record low since the current outbreak began about two months ago.
There was a slight uptick in new imported cases, though, with a total of ten. Those cases include six people on the same flight from Myanmar. The other four people traveled to Taiwan from the UK, Japan, Indonesia, and Mauritania.
The addition of six more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 753. The deceased include five men and one woman, who began showing symptoms between May 15 and July 3.
Of the 17 new local cases announced on Wednesday, eleven are men and six are women. They began experiencing symptoms between July 7-13.

As for the source of the 17 local cases announced on Wednesday, a specific source of transmission is known for ten cases, the source is unknown for three, and four cases are still under investigation.
