COVID-19 (07/15): Taiwan reports 18 more cases, six deaths

Taiwan reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. That includes 14 new domestic cases and four imported cases. That marks the lowest number of new domestic cases in over two months. 

The addition of six more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 759. The deceased include one man and five women. All of them had pre-existing health conditions. 

Of the 14 new local cases announced on Thursday, eight were men and six were women. They began experiencing symptoms between July 7 and July 14.
 
The Thursday totals (by city/county) are as follows: 

Taipei City: 9
Taoyuan City: 3
New Taipei City: 2

As for the source of the 14 local cases announced on Thursday, a specific source of transmission is known for eleven cases and three cases are still under investigation. 

Taiwan also recorded four imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. They include two travelers from Indonesia, one from Afghanistan, and one from the United Arab Emirates.
