Taiwan reported 15 new local and six imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 769. The deceased is a man in his 80s; doctors say he had pre-existing conditions.
Of the 15 new local cases announced on Monday, eight were men and seven were women. They began experiencing symptoms between July 14-17.

As for the source of the 15 local cases announced on Monday, a specific source of transmission is known for nine cases, while the source is unknown for six.
Taiwan also recorded six imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. They include five men and one woman. The travelers arrived in Taiwan from the following countries: Argentina, Cambodia, Denmark, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
