Restaurants and tourist spots around Taiwan are getting ready for customers… after two months of soft lockdown, the country is lowering the COVID alert to Level 2 on Tuesday.
Workers use industrial-strength disinfectant to spray the kitchen and dining area. That’s to help customers at this restaurant feel safe. They even stopped accepting delivery orders a day early, just so they had time to get ready. Tables are set so customers can maintain a safe distance while they dine and staff have placed the required partitions on tables to separate diners.
The restaurant’s manager says the company has bought 10,000 COVID-19 test kits for employees to use.
And it’s not just restaurants. Ferry operators at the popular Sun Moon Lake are also ready to welcome back customers. They’ve inspected their boats to make sure they’re in good condition. Right now, the ferries are only allowed to run at 50% capacity, and no food or drinks are allowed on board.
For now, only tour groups can book a trip. Solo travelers will have to hang on till things get a little safer.
