COVID-19 (08/03): Taiwan reports 19 more cases, two deaths

Taiwan reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. That includes 16 new domestic cases and three imported cases. 

The addition of two more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 791. The deceased include one man and one woman. Both had pre-existing health conditions.

Of the 16 new local cases announced on Tuesday, 10 tested positive while in quarantine. They include nine men and seven women, who began experiencing symptoms between July 26 and August 2.
 
The Tuesday totals (by city/county) are as follows: 

New Taipei City: 10
Taipei City: 4
Chiayi County: 2

As for the source of the 16 local cases announced on Tuesday, a specific source of transmission is known for 13 cases, the source is unknown for two, and one case is still under investigation. 

Taiwan also recorded three imported cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. They include travelers from the Philippines, Malaysia and Russia.
