Singapore is set to lift its 14-day quarantine for most travelers from Taiwan who test negative for COVID-19 on arrival. The quarantine exemption will apply to all travelers who have been in Taiwan for a full 21 days before 11:59pm on Saturday.
Singapore had previously lifted travel restrictions on travelers coming from Taiwan in December. However, it reintroduced quarantine requirements in May, after a domestic outbreak of COVID-19 hit Taiwan.
Singapore’s plan to lift quarantine requirements once more comes as Taiwan’s COVID-19 outbreak comes increasingly under control. Taiwan recorded just six new domestic cases on Thursday.
