Taiwan reported twelve new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. These include ten new domestic cases and two imported cases.
The addition of three more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 794. The deceased include two men and one woman.
Of the ten new local cases announced on Friday, seven tested positive while in quarantine. Five are men and five are women. They began experiencing symptoms between August 4 and August 5.

Changhua County: 1
As for the source of the ten local cases announced on Friday, a specific source of transmission is known for eight cases, the source is unknown for one, and another case is still under investigation.
Taiwan also recorded two imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday. They include a traveler from the US and one from the UK.
