COVID-19 (08/12): Taiwan reports 6 more cases, 1 death
As for the source of the four local cases announced on Thursday, a specific source of transmission is known for two cases, and the source is unknown for the other two.

Taiwan reported six new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. That includes four new domestic cases and two imported cases. 

The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 817. The deceased was a man in his eighties with pre-existing health conditions.

Of the four new local cases announced on Thursday, three were men and one was a woman. One tested positive while in quarantine. The new local cases began experiencing symptoms between August 4 and August 9.

New Taipei City: 1

Taiwan also recorded two imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. They include travelers from the United States and Russia.
