COVID-19 (08/17): Taiwan reports 18 more cases, no deaths

Taiwan reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. That includes four new domestic cases and 14 imported cases. There were no deaths reported.

Of the four new local cases announced on Tuesday,  three were men and one was a woman. Two tested positive while in quarantine. The new local cases began experiencing symptoms on August 16.
 
The Tuesday totals (by city/county) are as follows:

As for the source of the four local cases announced on Tuesday, a specific source of transmission is known for two cases, and the source is unknown for two.

Taiwan also recorded 14 imported cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. They include travelers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Myanmar and Australia.
