Japan has given a warm welcome to the ten Taiwanese athletes set to take part in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. The games are set to take paces from August 24 to September 5.
The ten Taiwanese athletes are set to compete in athletics, badminton, judo, powerlifting, swimming, and table tennis.
Though COVID-19 has left the athletes unable to interact with local people, supporters from around Japan have created a flag for the athletes bearing messages of support and encouragement. They will be given to the athletes by Japan’s Representative to Taiwan, Izumi Hiroyasu, and the mascot of Japan’s Aichi Prefecture.
