Taiwan has extended its Level 2 alert until September 6 and has adjusted some measures. That’s as Taiwan’s COVID-19 outbreak has been subsiding.
Taiwan saw two domestic cases, eight imported cases and one death reported on Saturday.
The cap for gatherings of people have been eased. The new limit is 80 people gathering indoors and 300 people outdoors.
Masks must continue to be worn at all times except when eating and drinking.
People may hold weddings and memorial services as long as they follow government guidelines for pandemic prevention.
Visiting patients in hospitals will be allowed in the following facilities: intensive care units, hospice wards, respiratory care wards, psychiatric wards, and pediatric wards. People may also visit patients with mental or physical disabilities; patients in critical condition; and patients who are hospitalized for seven or more days.
These venues may also open: study centers, indoor amusement parks, sea fishing grounds, sea swimming/snorkeling spots, and other places providing water activities.
The following venues will still be closed: singing and dance venues, nightclubs, clubs, hostess bars, bars, KTVs, MTVs, beauty parlors (tourist parlors and audio-video parlors), arcades, video game arcades, Internet cafes, and mahjong clubs.
