Taiwan reported four new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. The country also reported two more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan. There were no deaths reported.

Of the four new local cases announced on Monday,  two were men and two were women. Two tested positive while in quarantine. Two of the new local cases began experiencing symptoms on August 15 and August 20. The remaining two had no symptoms.
 
The Monday totals (by city/county) are as follows: 

New Taipei City: 4

As for the source of the four local cases announced on Monday, a specific source of transmission is known for two cases, and the source is unknown for two.

Taiwan also recorded two imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. They include travelers from Russia and Lithuania.
