Taiwan reported three new local cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The country also reported one more imported case among people arriving in Taiwan. 

The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 835. The deceased was a man in his sixties.

Of the three new local cases announced on Tuesday, two were men and one was a woman. None tested positive while in quarantine. They began experiencing symptoms on August 16 and August 30.
 
The Tuesday totals (by city/county) are as follows: 
 
New Taipei City: 2
Taipei City: 1

As for the source of the three local cases announced on Tuesday, a specific source of transmission is unknown for two cases, and one case is still under investigation.  

Taiwan also recorded one imported case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, a traveler from the UK.
