Taiwan has taken delivery of around 910,000 additional doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
This is the second batch of 15 million doses ordered for Taiwan by tech giants TSMC and Foxconn, as well as the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation. The initial batch, containing 930,000 doses, arrived in Taiwan on September 2.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Foxconn founder Terry Gou wrote that he expects 700,000 to 800,000 additional doses to begin arriving in Taiwan once a week.
