Taiwan reported one new local case of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The country also reported six more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 841. The deceased had long-term health conditions, and developed symptoms of COVID-19 after returning from Vietnam in August.
The single new local case reported on Wednesday is a woman in her thirties from New Taipei City. She tested positive in quarantine, after being identified as a contact of two other cases.
Taiwan also recorded six imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. They include travelers from the United States, Cambodia, the UK, and Myanmar.
