Taiwan reported no new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday, though the country reported nine more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
This marks the third day in a row, and the fifth time in the past week, Taiwan has reported no new local cases.
The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 842. The deceased was a woman in her eighties with pre-existing health conditions.
The nine imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday include travelers from Myanmar and Indonesia.
