A new round of COVID-19 vaccinations where people can receive their second shot of either the AstraZeneca or local Medigen vaccines will begin on October 6. That was the word from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Tuesday.
People 50 or above who got their first AstraZeneca vaccine shot before July 23 will be able to get a second AstraZeneca shot.
People who received their first shot of Medigen before September 9 will be able to get their second shot as well.
But people aged 50-64 who want a second AstraZeneca or Medigen vaccine need to register for it on the government’s 1922 vaccine platform by Wednesday noon. Those who have already registered do not need to do so again.
The vaccination period will be October 6-12.
