Taiwan reported no new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. It is the fifth day in a row without any local cases.
Taiwan also reported five more imported cases on Monday among people arriving in the country.
The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 844. The deceased was a man in his seventies with pre-existing health conditions.
Taiwan also recorded five imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. They include travelers from Indonesia, Belize, and the United States.
