Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu will meet with Prague’s Mayor Zdeněk Hřib and Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil during his visit to the Czech Republic. That is the word from Radio Prague International on Monday.

At the same time, a delegation of 65 Taiwanese officials and entrepreneurs is meeting with Czech businesses and organizations. On Monday, they signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in the areas of cybersecurity, space, catalyst technology, green energy, and smart machinery.

The delegation is led by Taiwan’s National Development Council Minister Kung Ming-hsin. It includes other high-ranking officials, like Minister of Science and Technology Wu Tsung-tsong, vice ministers of economics and finance, alongside research and industry representatives.

At the MoU signing ceremony, Kung said that Taiwan and Czechia both love democracy and freedom. Enterprises from the two countries can work together to become a key force on the international stage at a time when global supply chains are realigning.
