Taiwan reported no new local cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Authorities did, however, report five more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan. There were no deaths reported.
The five imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday include travelers from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia.
Meanwhile, Taiwan’s first-dose vaccination rate reached 71.09% on Thursday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Taiwan has reported a total of 16,399 cases of COVID-19. That includes 1,756 imported cases and 14,589 domestic cases. Taiwan has also reported a total of 847 deaths from COVID-19.
