Taiwan reported one death from COVID-19 on Tuesday. The country also reported six more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
The addition of one more death from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 848. The deceased was a 93-year-old woman who had a history of chronic diseases and was in contact with confirmed cases.
The six imported cases include travelers from Thailand, Ukraine, South Africa, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Taiwan has reported a total of 16,451 cases of COVID-19. That includes 1,807 imported cases and 14,590 domestic cases.
