Taiwan reported no new local cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The country also reported five more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
Among the five imported cases of COVID-19, three were men and two were women. They include two travelers from Indonesia, two from Ethiopia, and one from the Philippines. They arrived in Taiwan between November 19 and 24. All of the travelers had negative PCR test results prior to boarding their flights, and three of them had been fully vaccinated. Of the three, two received the Sinovac vaccine, while the third was immunized with Pfizer-BioNTech.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Taiwan has reported a total of 16,688 cases of COVID-19. That includes 2,044 imported cases and 14,590 domestic cases. Taiwan has also reported a total of 848 deaths from COVID-19.
