Taiwanese firm Solid Memory has grown from a three-person operation into one of Asia’s leading 3D scanning companies. And it isn’t done growing.

The company was founded in 2014, and was Taiwan’s first company to use photogrammetry, high-resolution 3D scanning of objects. With an array of 120 single-lens cameras, the company can capture 360 degree images of extreme clarity that capture even tiny details and retain lifelike colors. The entire process takes less than a second.

The company has worked on projects involving everything from comics and animation to the restoring of historic buildings and digitizing museum artifacts. It has even teamed up with some of the biggest names in Taiwan’s popular music scene.

Now, the company is looking to the future, and especially towards the much-vaunted “Metaverse”, something its leaders believe will provide a new wave of business opportunities.
