President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte says that his country would stay out of any war in the Taiwan Strait.
Duterte was speaking on December 23 during a visit to an air force base.
He said that any small mistake could lead to a war in the Taiwan Strait. But he said that his country is unprepared for such a war, and has no way to overcoming Chinese firepower. He said that as long as he is in office, the Philippines will remain neutral in any cross-strait military conflict.
