The commander of Taiwan’s air force, Hsiung Hou-chi, has represented Taiwan in a video-conference bringing together the chiefs of a number of air forces from around the Indo-Pacific region.
The conference took place on Thursday, with the commanders of the US, Indian, Thai, Malaysian, South Korean, Bruneian, Singaporean, Japanese, and Vietnamese air forces among those in attendance. Discussion focused on the logistical challenges of a swift deployment in areas where combat operations are difficult to mount.
Taiwan’s Air Force General Headquarters told Taiwan’s Central News Agency late on Thursday that Taiwan maintains good channels of communication with friendly countries.
