President Tsai Ing-wen visited Hsinchu Zoo on Wednesday morning, the second day of the Lunar New Year. Joining her was DPP Legislator Ker Chien-ming and Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien.
The president offered encouragement to zoo employees who are working over the Lunar New Year long holiday. She also handed the zoo employees a bonus to lift their spirits. Tsai thanked the employees for taking care of the zoo’s animals and maintaining a safe and fun environment for visitors.
During her visit, zoo workers reported to the president about their duties. Tsai also observed how zookeepers prepared meals for the facility’s alpacas and also took pictures with two of the zoo’s Bengal tigers.
