Taiwan reported fourteen new local cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Health authorities also reported 53 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
Of the fourteen new local cases announced on Wednesday, seven were men and seven were women. Health authorities say that the newly confirmed domestic infections were known contacts of previous infections. Eleven of them are fully vaccinated. Two of them are linked to a cluster infection at a hotel in eastern Taiwan.
Taiwan also recorded 53 imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. They include travelers from the US, the UK, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, France, India, China, Bangladesh, Ireland, Canada, Malawi, Germany, Mauritius, Spain, Vietnam, the Netherlands, and Cambodia.
