Taiwan reported 14 new local cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Health authorities also reported 54 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
Authorities say ten of the 14 new local cases are linked to a cluster involving employees at a Taipei real estate agency.
Another two cases are linked to a cluster of infections at a quarry in Kaohsiung City. One more case is part of a cluster at an oil refinery, also in Kaohsiung City, and the final case is linked to a previous infection at Taoyuan International Airport.
Taiwan also recorded 54 imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Thirty of them tested positive upon landing in Taiwan, while the rest tested positive in quarantine. They include nine travelers from the United States; three from Vietnam; two each from Australia, France and Indonesia; and one each from the Philippines, Ukraine, Chad, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan and Cambodia. Health authorities are still investigating the travel history of 28 travelers.
