Taiwan reported four new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Health authorities also reported 45 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
Of the four new local cases announced on Monday, one was a man and three were women. Three out of the four cases tested positive while in quarantine.
Two of the new local cases are part of a cluster centered around an oil refinery in Kaohsiung City.
Another new local case is the daughter-in-law of a security guard at Taoyuan International Airport who tested positive recently.
The fourth new local case is the wife of a previously confirmed case. The new case is part of a wider cluster in northern Taiwan centered around a real estate agency.
Health Minister Chen Shih-chung says that the current domestic infection chains are coming to an end.
Taiwan also recorded 45 imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. They include travelers from the United States, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Australia, among others. However, health authorities have yet to identify a country of origin for 21 other imported cases.
