Taiwan reported 6 new local cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Health authorities also reported 63 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
All but one of the new domestic cases were found to be linked to recently confirmed cases.
Taiwan also recorded 63 imported cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Forty of these cases tested positive upon arrival in Taiwan. The imported cases include travelers from the Philippines, Vietnam, the United States and Indonesia. All of the travelers arrived in Taiwan between February 11 and 25.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Taiwan has reported a total of 20,373 cases of COVID-19. That includes 4,909 imported cases and 15,410 domestic cases. Taiwan has also reported a total of 853 deaths from COVID-19.
