Taiwan reported two new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Health authorities also reported 27 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
The two new local cases of COVID-19 were detected in people from Tainan City. They belong to a cluster of cases centering on a group of people who went traveling together in the final week of February.
Taiwan also recorded 27 imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Thirteen of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 14 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers from Vietnam, the UK, Cambodia, and Malaysia, among others. Health authorities are still verifying the travel history of eight travelers.
