Taiwan reported eight new local cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Health authorities also reported 45 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
Of the eight new local cases, two are linked to a cluster in Yilan county, while the rest are connected to a cluster involving a Kaohsiung family and tour group.
Taiwan also recorded 45 imported cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Eighteen of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 27 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers from the US, Vietnam, and Singapore, among others. Health authorities are still verifying the travel history of ten travelers.
