COVID-19 (03/11): Taiwan reports 7 local, 75 imported cases
Taiwan's COVID-19 case numbers for March 11, 2022.

Taiwan reported seven new local cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

None of the people with COVID-19 were in quarantine when they tested positive.

Three of the people are part of a new cluster in Greater Taipei. Authorities don’t yet know how they were infected.

The other four people are part of an existing cluster in Tainan. That cluster began with a group of people who went traveling around Taiwan during a recent national holiday.

Taiwan also recorded 75 imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Forty-five of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 30 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers from the United States, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, among others. Health authorities are still verifying the travel history of 26 travelers.

There were no deaths reported on Friday.
