Taiwan reported two new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Health authorities also reported 73 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.
There were no deaths reported.
One of the new local cases, a Taoyuan resident, was tracked in connection to a cluster of cases in a family from the Greater Taipei area. The source of infection for the other local case is unknown.
Taiwan also recorded 73 imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Thirty-five of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 38 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers from the Solomon Islands, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, among others. Health authorities are still verifying the travel history of 33 travelers.
