Taiwan reported three new local cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Health authorities also reported 118 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan. There were no deaths reported.
Two of the new domestic cases were connected to a cluster involving a wedding held in Chiayi City on March 13. That cluster has seen six confirmed cases so far. The other new domestic case was discovered in quarantine and is related to a cluster linked to a restaurant employee in Kaohsiung. This cluster has seen 20 confirmed cases.
The three new dometic cases are residents of Taipei, Chaiyi and Tainan. Two of them had received three COVID-19 vaccine shots while the third had received none.
Taiwan also saw 118 imported cases reported on Sunday, including 64 who tested positive upon arrival.
Taiwan has confirmed 21,905 COVID-19 cases, including 15,503 domestically transmitted infections and 853 deaths.
