COVID-19 (03/23): Taiwan reports 2 local, 95 imported cases

Taiwan reported two new local cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Health authorities also reported 95 more imported cases among people arriving in Taiwan.

There were no deaths reported.

One of the new domestic cases confirmed on Wednesday is the daughter of a Taipei City Hospital nurse. Health authorities confirmed the nurse, her husband, and son as infected with COVID on Tuesday.

The other domestic case is a New Taipei City resident who underwent COVID-19 testing to gain entry into a family member’s hospital ward. Authorities do not know the source of that infection.

Taiwan also recorded 95 imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. 64 of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 31 tested positive in quarantine.
