COVID-19 (03/28): Taiwan reports 34 local, 93 imported cases
Taiwan's COVID-19 case numbers for March 28, 2022.

Taiwan reported 34 new local cases of COVID-19 on Monday. 

Twelve of the people confirmed with COVID are part of a cluster in Keelung in north-eastern Taiwan.

Eleven more are connected to an outbreak at the Datan Power Plant in Taoyuan. 

Two more people are part of a cluster at a chemical plant in Kaohsiung. Both of them were already in isolation when they tested positive.

In New Taipei City, one more worker at a tech manufacturing plant in Shulin District also tested positive for COVID-19 while in isolation. 

Health authorities also found three people with COVID in Taitung, as well as five people from smaller clusters in Keelung. 

Taiwan also recorded 93 imported cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Fifty-five of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 38 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers from Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, among others. Health authorities are still verifying the travel history of 43 travelers.

There were no deaths reported on Monday.
