Taiwan reported 183 new domestic COVID-19 infections and 97 imported infections on Sunday. There were no reported deaths.
Most of the 183 new domestic cases reported were linked to known clusters.
A total of 45 new cases were added to a Keelung cluster linked to a karaoke bar, bringing the total to 205 cases. The new cases in this cluster involved police offices, teachers and students.
A cluster related to schools in Sanxia District grew to 44 cases Sunday. 20 of the 71 new cases reported in the city are linked to that cluster. In New Taipei, a cluster in a residential complex in Zhonghe District added 14 new cases Sunday, bringing the total to 66.
In Taichung, a cluster connected to a wedding banquet saw 16 more cases on Sunday bringing the total number to 51 cases.
There were also some isolated cases with unknown sources of infection.
The central government said it will not impose stricter prevention measures though case numbers have risen in the past week, but some local governments are taking precautions.
The Pingtung County government called off the final day of a three-day Taiwan Music Festival in Kenting after a person attending the festival tested positive for COVID-19. Nearly 10,000 people who had attended the festival on Friday and Saturday were asked to get COVID-19 tests.
