The Education Ministry is promoting a free online service that connects students of all ages to a wide variety of education platforms. The ministry said on Tuesday that access to EDU Cloud is now extended to students and teachers at overseas Taiwanese schools.
The ministry says that online learning has boomed over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced many schools to switch to remote learning. Last year, the ministry's educational service site had over 32 million views.
Through EDU Cloud, students can access a wide range of educational programs sponsored by national and local organizations. This includes popular interactive learning sites like "Cool English" and "PaGamo".
In addition, the ministry's platform also includes access to Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace for Education, and other free learning materials.
The ministry says it welcomes more students and teachers to apply for a free account on EDU Cloud, so that more people can benefit from its educational resources.
