VIDEO: New, record-breaking zipline in Kaohsiung playground
This new zipline in Lianchitan Children's Park in Kaohsiung stretches thirty meters long, a record amongst playgrounds in Taiwan.

Taiwan celebrated Children's Day on Monday, and many families enjoyed the holiday by taking trips all around the island. In Kaohsiung, some lucky children realized there was a fun surprise right in their own neighborhood.

A boy swings across a zipline from one end of a playground to the other. And that's no small distance. This new zipline in Lianchitan Children's Park in Kaohsiung stretches thirty meters long, a record amongst playgrounds in Taiwan.

The children eagerly run back to rejoin the line after taking their turn and many say that it's a thrilling ride. This zipline is one of several recent additions to the park's playground.

The Children's Park wasn't the only exciting place to be this holiday break. Tourists also flocked to Kaohsiung's Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. Many people were excited to take advantage of the good weather, after a long stretch of cold, rainy days.

The holiday weekend may be coming to an end, but luckily these fun attractions will still be here year-round for people to enjoy.
