Shares in Taiwan closed lower Friday as market sentiment was hurt by a plunge in the share price of smartphone camera lens supplier Largan Precision Co. after the company reported a 30% month-on-month drop in sales for January.
Taiwan shares closed down 55.87 points, or 0.58%, at 9,456.18 Friday on turnover of US$2.29 billion.
