Taiwan reported 431 new local cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Just over half of new local cases recorded on Sunday were asymptomatic. The highest number of positive cases was recorded in New Taipei City with 143, followed by Taipei with 67, and Taoyuan with 45 infections.

Taiwan also recorded 144 imported cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Eighty-three of them tested positive on arrival in Taiwan, while the remaining 61 tested positive in quarantine. They include travelers coming from Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia, among others. Travel histories of 73 cases are still under investigation.
There were no deaths from COVID-19 recorded on Sunday.
