Taiwan reported 874 new local cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, another daily record.
Almost half of the new local cases were diagnosed in the greater Taipei area, with 360 people testing positive in New Taipei City, and 164 in Taipei. Eighty-seven more people in Taoyuan have the virus, while another 60 do in Keelung.

One of the people confirmed with COVID today, a man in his 60s, is experiencing moderate symptoms.
Taiwan also recorded 108 imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
There were no deaths reported.
