Taiwan reported 28,487 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, including 67 imported cases. Health authorities reported five COVID-related deaths on Wednesday as well.
New Taipei City reported the most domestic infections with 10,151 cases. Taipei City reported the second most with 5,538, while Taoyuan City follows closely behind with 4,814 confirmed infections.

As of Wednesday, 99.75% of Taiwan’s COVID-19 cases are mild or asymptomatic.
Taiwan also recorded 67 imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Twenty tested positive upon arrival, while the remaining 47 tested positive while in quarantine.
