Taiwan reported 46,536 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. That includes 159 imported cases.
Health authorities also reported 11 COVID-related deaths.
The 46,377 domestic cases confirmed on Saturday represent another single-day high for Taiwan.
New Taipei City reported the most confirmed cases with 16,670. Taipei City reported the second most cases with 9,245 cases, while Taoyuan City reported the third most with 6,882.

Saturday’s reported deaths were people aged 40 to 100. All of them had pre-existing conditions and exhibited severe symptoms.
As of Saturday, 99.75% of Taiwan’s COVID-19 cases accumulated this year are mild or asymptomatic.
Of the 159 imported COVID-19 cases, 56 tested positive upon arrival in Taiwan, while 103 tested positive while in quarantine.
