Poland’s Deputy Economic Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak is in Taiwan for a three day visit. Piechowiak arrived in the country late Monday night.
On Tuesday morning, he attended the 10th Taiwan-Poland Economic Consultations. There he signed three memorandums of understanding alongside Taiwan’s Deputy Economics Minister Chen Chern-Chyi.
During the consultations, Taiwanese and Polish officials discussed the areas of semiconductors, hydrogen power, information security, and disease prevention.
Piechowiaks said that the consultations are an important platform for Taiwan-Poland exchanges. He said that Poland wants to enhance its ties with like-minded partners, like Taiwan, now that the world faces uncertainties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
Piechowiak is scheduled to meet with business and science leaders during his trip, and also attend other Taiwan-Poland exchange events.
