Succulent shrimp and fresh crab. Fresh seafood like this is what draws the crowds to Taiwan’s outlying Penghu Islands. The county is famous for its fresh catches, and they’re drawing more people than ever now that traveling internationally is a difficult option in Taiwan.
Beautiful sea views are another one of Penghu’s many draws. So, it just makes sense that one local business built a restaurant ship. It’s the best of both worlds. The ship serves fresh seafood, while giving visitors unrestricted views of the ocean.
The ship cost around US$670,000 to build. On it, people can enjoy luxurious seafood like shrimp, lobster, shellfish, squid, and more. Visitors are already impressed, with many saying it’s a new experience.
The ship had a launch ceremony recently, but it’ll be a little while before this boat can head out to sea. The operator is still waiting for the necessary permits to weigh anchor, but when that comes through, it should be smooth sailing for this fresh concept.
