A delegation from Lithuania has met with Taiwanese transport officials to hammer out deals on electric vehicles, 5G networks and offshore wind. Taiwan’s transport ministry says Lithuania is also pushing for direct flights between the countries to boost trade ties.
The Lithuania delegation is led by the country’s transport and communication deputy minister, Agnė Vaiciukevičiūtė. She is joined by 10 government officials and industry representatives.
Taiwan’s transport ministry says it’s optimistic about “professional exchange” between the two countries.
This latest visit by a Lithuanian delegation follows trips by Lithuanian economy and agriculture officials in June.
Vaiciukevičiūtė and the visiting delegation are set to leave Taiwan on Thursday.
